In case anyone else is watching this thread, I did wind up opening a
service request.

My "workaround" seemed to work intermittently, but it was purely
coincidental. Sometimes the QSQSRVR job has a full library list, and
others only the System library list. If your job selects one with a full
library list then you are golden - otherwise kaboom.

Hopefully we are not the only people mixing JDBC and native SQL in RPG
programs on 7.1. I would hate to roll back to 6.1 if there is no fix
available.
