There is a keyword for AFPDS printer files called AFPRSC which has a 
subtype of *JFIF (for jpeg, and *TIFF for TIFF).  I haven't used it, and 
it seems to have some significant restrictions like not being able to be 
printed to a physical printer.  That would make it different from 
BARCODE, which works really well on a standard laser printer.
