EXTFILE isn't used at compile time even if it's a literal.

If you are on V6R1, you can use EXTDESC('MYFILE'), and then use EXTFILE(*EXTDESC) to also set the runtime file.

FMYFILE1 IF E K DISK RENAME(MYFORMAT:F1)
F EXTDESC('MYFILE')
F EXTFILE(*EXTDESC)

Prior to V6R1, you will have to use an override at compile time.
