Hi Barbara,

thanks for information.
We can change in for the programs currently converted where the compile
error occurs 
... and hope we can sometime move to release 6.1 or higher (but we have
always to care on the lowest level our clients have, and some of them are
still on V5R2!).

It was a bug that has been fixed in 6.1.  I realize that doesn't help 
you with v5r4 ...  I can't guess whether or not you would get a fix for 
v5r4 if you open a PMR.
