Hello Kelley,

It is not CGIDEV2 that is causing you trouble, but SQL. SQL will keep a 
lock on a file if it thinks it might come in handy for the next request. 
Because of this command ALCOBJ has an extra parameter CONFLICT that you 
can use to ask SQL to let go of these locks. In the evening job use 
'ALCOBJ OBJ((<lib>/<file> *FILE <lock>)) CONFLICT(*RQSRLS)' and you should 
be fine.
