No argument with reading the manual, but I'm really comfortable with how 
a CHAIN works.  And I *know* that a CHAIN can never update the 
database.  There are some things you can know, Mihael.  That, by the 
way, is one reason I've always been a little leery of SQL.  Talk about a 
black box - you're never quit sure WHAT that engine is doing.
