... it's too early in the morning, testing my own recommendations, i noticed
the classpath of the runnable jar could not be superseeded, you have to start this way:

java -classpath .:AppServer4RPG.jar:commons-logging-1.1.1.jar:jt400Small.jar:log4j-1.2.16.jar:sqljdbc.jar de.bender_dv.jvagate.communication.Receiver

and I have in mind, that microsoft has diffrent drivers, depending on java version...
