what I really do not understand is why RPG should be dying.
In my opinion RPG is, as it was before, the best language for business logic on the system i.
What really is missing are development tools, that combine all the abilities of RPG in a modern interface, so that junior programmers are attracted to it, too.
Today we have RPG/OA and EGL and PDM and ...
But besides some development environments coming from third party companies there is none coming from IBM that fulfill the demands mentioned above.
