Hi Tom
I think the way that I have used it should work for you
In the dds I have the following
A ADDMSGALL 600 B 7 15CNTFLD(50)
A WRDWRAP
Then in my program I have this
D DS
D Addmsgall 600
D Addmsg01 50 overlay(Addmsgall)
D Addmsg02 50 overlay(Addmsgall:*next)
D Addmsg03 50 overlay(Addmsgall:*next)
D Addmsg04 50 overlay(Addmsgall:*next)
D Addmsg05 50 overlay(Addmsgall:*next)
D Addmsg06 50 overlay(Addmsgall:*next)
D Addmsg07 50 overlay(Addmsgall:*next)
D Addmsg08 50 overlay(Addmsgall:*next)
D Addmsg09 50 overlay(Addmsgall:*next)
D Addmsg10 50 overlay(Addmsgall:*next)
D Addmsg11 50 overlay(Addmsgall:*next)
D Addmsg12 50 overlay(Addmsgall:*next)
D Addmsgind 50 overlay(Addmsgall) Dim(12)
I can capture and save the individual lines to a file, and brought back in to the DDS when required with no extra coding

Subject: wrdwrap question
I am attempting to assemble text to print on a letter in an RPG program. I have to insert a variable number of names in 2 different places.
I created a format with a large input field to input the names.
I then assemble all the constant text with the variable text and bring it into a field with WRDWRAP, which keeps the fields from being truncated at the end of the line. It all looks good on the screen, with blanks inserted at the end.
For some reason, I have to put some type of input in my WRDWRAP field, or it will suppress all the blanks put in by WRDWRAP when I attempt to parse out the large WRDWRAP field to print fields. It appears that the blanks that WRDWRAP puts in are more like nulls, and not a true blank.
I know what you may be thinking, why don’t you use BLKFOLD on your print file?
I tried using that. There is zero examples out there on this keyword that I could find. I made a field the length of the WRDWRAP field that I attempted to use above in the print file. I have FOLD(*YES) in my OVRPRTF. The print is *AFPDS, but I did not get any warnings or anything when I ran it. It prints one line of information only.
Thanks.
