In principle I can't disagree with you, Eric, it's just that I don't see the
cycle as being unmaintainable (apparently not a word since spell checker
flagged it, but you get my drift) or hiding anything important. The primary
thing it hides is all of the mundane stuff like opening and reading files,
doing comparisons (MR, Level Breaks, etc.). That's probably just me,
though.

My first exposure to SQL was back in the 70's. Just papers to read; it
wasn't available on the S/3 or much anything else. And only IBM had it so
it sure wasn't going to become ubiquitous.
