It takes only a few seconds to write a small "test harness" in CL, e.g.:
PGM
DCL &PARM1 *CHAR 100 VALUE('/this/is/a/test')
DCL &PARM2 *CHAR 3 VALUE('3 ')
CALL PGM(TARGETPGM) PARM(&PARM1 &PARM2)
RETURN
ENDPGM
Compile it in QTEMP and CALL it from the command line or from within
STRDBG when debugging.
That's how I have been doing this, ever since I first learned of the
anomalies that can happen when invoking the CALL command from the
command line, with respect to the types and lengths of parameters.
