The above comment seemed to imply differences where there are none, except as [e.g. implicitly\default or explicitly] defined differently. The rules are the same irrespective of a local connection or from a remote connection. The chosen naming rule and setup of the library list and the PATH determine the effects no matter whence the request originates. If the remote connection establishes a setup that mimics "inside the i", then the unqualified requests should operate the same.
