You're right, that can easily become a big mess. I definitely have to
concede that this is much better to do with proper parameters. Well,
I would think everyone always prefers proper parameters anyway, even
if dealing with single-function OPM programs. But especially when
using the pattern you describe (a service program with shared data and
multiple exposed procedures), it's a lot better to do it with ILE than
to hack it together with OPM.
