If your volumes are in the many/second category then the date/time stamp 
does not assure unique sequencing.  If accurate arrival sequencing is 
mandatory then a data queue with a single NEP is the only choice.   With 
the single NEP the next number is decremented, assigned, and pushed to 
the next que for adding to the file for writing.  If you need to run 
several programs to do the actual writes from the second queue to the 
file, that is fine, since the sequence # is already assigned and the 
write will not fail for that reason.
