Huge thanks to Scott Klement and all the folks that post/respond and lurk here on the forum.
We were stumbling getting JDBCR4 running 7.1 connecting SQLServer.
First it was the usual classpath "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: net.sourceforge.jt"- I dug through some of the threads here. And got the classpath set.
Then I received a second error
"Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: JVMCFRE003"
We had downloaded the latest jtds driver. But if I understand correctly jtds-1.3.1.jar does not working with jdk 6 we have running.
I picked up the older jtds-1.2.7 and now it works.
Woohoo.
