The OP was actually clear enough on that point; the character\named month was being converted to a two-digit [character or numeric, I do not recall] value using %lookup. I seem to recall one of the original problems was that the OP had coded explicitly for *USA, but was improperly passing a date formatted as either *EUR0 or *EUR; that error was pointed out after at least one followup by the OP, but seemed to have gone without any comment.? Besides, the OP had an eventual followup reply stating that their issue was resolved and how they coded their resolution, so continuing this meandering discussion likely has little value to the OP.
