John,
Glad you found it. I knew it had to be something like that. When I
moved from version 3.2 to 3.6 I accidentally added 3.6 to the same
directory and if I'm right it really just comes to first come first served
when
it uses the class path. Or is it last found first served?
Anyway, be careful with Zend. I've always thought it messes with some of
the same default directories
and can cause issues. Never have been able to ferret it out though.
Consider one more example.
I use /QIBM/UserData/POI/
  poi-311 (dir)
  poi-3.2-FINAL (dir)
  poi-3.6 (dir)
Then you can move from one directory on the fly with your CL. Great for
testing new versions.
Bill

I LOVE this group!!
I looked in the locations indicated in Bills code and found POI 3.1 in
there.
I deleted the files and my programs started working again.
I don't know whether they put the files there or added that location to
the default classpath or both.
The admin also disabled the user profile the 3rd party vendor uses. :-)
My setup uses the SETENV cl program as outlined by Scott Klement's
article.

Much thanks Buck & Bill for the help!
