FWiW: As two separate queries, what is explained in the quoted text is suggestive of an apparent assumption being made, that the count from the prior query should remain unchanging from the first to the second query; i.e. unless the row-data is static since the completion of the first query until the completion of the second query, the value of resultCount may not be an accurate reflection of how many rows will be available in the result-set of the second query.
