Paul Jones: Running in a separate job is basically what it's doing now with QCMDEXC/RUNJVA, and what I was hoping to get away from.

CRPence: The QCMDEXC/RUNJVA is what I'm doing now. JNI is what I'm trying to do. Am I incorrect that JNI would perform better? I believed (potentially incorrectly) that QCMDEXC/RUNJVA would start a new JVM everytime, while JNI would reuse the JVM.

Scott Klement: I can't "look behind the curtain" of the Java app, I'm just trying to go off what I see in my joblogs. I have a DIY Java server written in RPG that uses data queues. That was my final goal for this, but that won't work if it kills my JVM.
