... I have activated the System.exit() prevention in CommandGate, so that
the JVM of AppServer4RPG keeps alive when a Java CommandlineTool tries to
shutdown the JVM. To get fast execution of Java Commandlinetools you would
need very few steps:
1.) install Commandgate (if you have installed ArdGate just throw
CommandGate.jar in the lib directory of AppServer4RPG)
2.) throw all needed jars for your commandline tool in the lib directory of
AppServer4RPG. (you don't nee any fiddling around with classpath)
instead of creaping
RUNJVA CLASS(myClass) PARM('firstParm' 'secondParm')
CLASSPATH('myVeryLongClasspath')
you would simply use
RUNJAVARUN CLASS(MYCLASS) ARGS('firstParm secondParm')
to get fast execution of your commandline tool.
The command RUNJAVARUN should be located in the install lib of
AppServer4RPG.
