That's a neat setup.
In our case, we want to parse the emails for the content and send that
content over to another application for additional processing.

Over the past year or so, we've been working on an IOT (Internet of things)
project for the IBM i and found a couple of services that are impressive.
IFTTT allows you to create recipes or routines that automate various
Internet based services.

You can search GMAIL on basically any criteria and then take all sorts of
actions.
The other IOT platform that's impressive is: zapier.com
