<Dave Clark>
We have a free middleware tool (an *ARDPGM that works with
WRKRDBDIRE) to allow us to use embed SQL in our RPG programs to open
cursors in a cross-platform situation with MS SQL Server, but I am having
trouble getting a stored procedure call to work in the same situation. So,
I was wondering if there is something special about how the stored
procedure or the call needs to be set up or if maybe we need a different
middleware tool.

Stored procedure support was made for a customer, who needed it for Oracle.
The diffrence between Oracle and MS SQL is, that MS SQL doesn't support
inout parameters (and at the moment ArdGate expects all parameters to be
inout). If you don't need more than one output parameter, you could use a
function as a workaround. I will take your post as a RFE for ArdGate and a
future release of ArdGate will enhance stored procedure calls to MS SQL. If
you need this feature rather quick, priority could be influenced by a little
bit of sponsoring.
