I kid you not. I was shocked to see a CABxx statement that was last
modified in the past week. In freaking 2017!!! As you might imagine, this
developer does no development using free-format RPG.

Honestly, I had to look up the opcode in the RPG reference to remind myself
exactly how it worked.

So as not to start a long OT thread on this, let me end this by saying that
we just hired an IT manager who has an office in our building and has a
lengthy IBM midrange history. (Prior to his arrival, our direct manager has
zero IBM midrange experience and is located on the other side of the
country.) It didn't take long before the subject of standards came up.
There are none in our shop. I expect that will change soon.
