Sorry Jeff - didn't notice that you had omitted the end-ds.

With the end-ds but without the quotes it would still have failed.

In fixed form it was not needed - but free-form can accept a constant
name and so when you want a literal you must quote it.

Why can I define the DS in fixed format, but not freeform? What am I
missing?
