First of all, for legacy reasons, RPG will only return the first 10 characters of a subprocedure name in a message like this. So it doesn't mean that a subprocedure named VALIDATE_H failed, but rather any routine that BEGINS WITH validate_h... so it could be validate_harpoon or validate_harpsicord or anything else that begins with "validate_h".

Second, all the message means is that an error occurred in your subprocedure. To find out WHAT error occurred, look at the prior messages in the job log.

I did take a quick look at HSSFR4, but there are no routines that start with the word "validate". I'm guessing, therefore, that this is your own subprocedure?
