SEU was stabilized at 6.1.

7.1 was introduced in April 2010.

So the "new" features started creeping in more than eight years ago. You
might have seen it coming .....

Yes... but the biggest difference between WDSCi "then" and RDi "now"
is exactly what the OP ran into. There are too many "new" features
(like totally FREE formatting) that make SEU nearly impossible to use.
