I'm guessing that you mean as an AID key; press Delete and control
returns to the program?
No, that isn't an AID key.

Depending on the emulator you're using, you might be able to map the
physical 'Delete' key so that it sends a genuine AID byte like
'Selector Light Pen Enter'. Then have your program check for that AID
byte and perform whatever action you're looking to trigger. An
alternative is to fork one of the open source TN5250 emulators and
have your emulator code do the swap.

I think I'd be happier using AJAX with a browser, but even then I'm
not sure I can grok a use case for intercepting the Delete key...
