Sounds interesting and quite a curiosity.
Never heard of this before.

Subject: RPG on HP MPE systems

OK, this is a little weird ... but it *IS* RPG related.

Has anyone worked with RPG on an HP MPE system?

I encountered a job posting looking for a RPG programmer on LinkedIn. I was
considering following up on it when I noticed they were looking for HP MPE
operating system experience.

Based on some documentation I found, it looks like it's an implementation of
RPG III with some extensions.
