In regard to scroll bars or any other element or any other type of
navigation or any other feature pertaining to a UI, I too might ask why
not? Doesn't it come down to what you're trying to achieve? With browser
user interfaces, you have so many options. In that particular application I
was trying to mimic behavior delineated in the following blog:
