The COMPILEOPT parameter allows you to specify options to be "passed through" the SQL preprocessor to whatever compile command you are ultimately invoking, depending on whether you tell CRTRPGSQLI to create a *MODULE or a *PGM ... (CRTRPGMOD or CRTBNDRPG, respectively).
So, you need to prompt those commands, press F10=Additional parameters, and press F11 to see the keywords, and F9 to ensure you see all of the available options.
A typical use might be (for example):
CRTRPGSQLI ... COMPILEOPT('DBGVIEW(*LIST)')
