is there a reason sql precompiler is blocking this?
I was actually under the impression you could not use a LIKE or LIKEDS host
variable in an sql, but then I saw this..
https://www.rpgpgm.com/2018/01/using-rpg-data-structures-with-sql.html
and my code is...
dcl-proc insertIt;
dcl-pi *n ind;
i_rowDetail likeDS(ds_myFile) value;
o_msgText char(80);
end-pi
dcl-ds ds_myFile extname('MYFILE') qualified;
end-ds;
dcl-ds ds_myFile2 likeDs(ds_myFile) inz;
exec sql
insert into myFile3
values(:ds_myFile2);
return *on
end-proc
