With regard to the Language Wars ... which were tiring already in the
1980's ...
IMHO the Four Noble Truths of ILE are:

   1. No language is more efficient than RPG on the platform.
   2. Few computer languages are easier to learn than RPG Free.
   3. The younger generation will use the popular open source languages for
   this and that and gravitate to RPG Free when they need performance.
   4. IBM is not going to develop any new ILE languages.

Go learn and teach RPG Free, it's the Last One Standing.
