There are also ways to use C# or Python but they may require you to reach out to a Linux or Windows Server via API.
For this type of stuff I generally create some sort of web service that's callable from IBMi and then return the resulting document after it's converted.
I have a ton of this type of work for clients over the years so feel free to reach out via email if you are interested in contracting this work out.
Another thought would be to adopt something like Jasper Reports which can generate PDF documents directly from data.
