the compile issue is the typical sql precompile issue saying the s2_fld cannot be used due to data type or whatever... but both are simple char fields

I've observed myself that I had started to write many mails to the Midrange Lists and never sent them: In the course of formulating the ask for help and collecting details I often came across something I've not tested and suddenly I saw the error. "Rubber Ducking". :-)
