I guess I should have read the entire thread before responding...
We just used CNX App Builder to create a new Order Management application (it's actually 4 separate apps) to replace the green screen in our ERP.
We use the same DB Files as used by our ERP, and actually call some of the ERP functions from the backend SQLRPGLE. CNX developed APIs that work through Apache. It's my understanding that you don't have to use their App Builder, but they've recently incorporated AI to help you do things like layout a form, or generate JavaScript to do something. So its really nice for those of us who don't know JavaScript, PHP or other commonly used browser languages.
It's inexpensive and (I think) can be licensed for inclusion in your own products. We've been using it for quite a while and have developed many other applications.
But the best part of it all is the people... some of the best I've worked with in 25+ years.

Hi Suren,
Did you look at CNX's Valence?
I have looked into it and have seen some basic stuff created with it.
Seems relatively easy and you can for sure do nice things with it.

Onderwerp: Tool to Modernize IBMi Screens into GUI
Hi All,
I’m looking for a tool to help modernize our IBMi application screens into
a GUI. Our plan is to use AngularJS for the front end, and we need to
convert all IBMi screen programs into APIs, which will be utilized for the
GUI screens. The majority of the subfiles in the IBMi applications
are single-page with data queue approach.
Additionally, the web services for these APIs can either be deployed on
the
IBMi (via IWS, HTTP Server with CGI, etc.) or on a separate Windows server
(such as Java Web Services) — either approach will work for us.
If anyone has suggestions for the best tools available in the market to
help convert the IBMi screen programs into APIs, I would appreciate your
input.
Regards,
Suren
