Personally, in cases where that level of security is involved, I just use Scott's HTTPAPI along with DATA-INTO or YAJL.

There are other similar packages plus commercial offerings

Hi Robert,

consuming from the web is quite simple - using SQL functions like HTTP_GET and JSON_TABLE makes it easy. The hard part is doing the authorization part - like OAuth or JWT - this is not so simple, but doable.

Do you mean Google Cloud Docs? (like Spreadsheets?)

If you want, send some more specifications, and we can try to help.

Apologies for not being RPG-specific with this question but I do not know
of another blog to ask the pros. We are looking for a way to consume data
directly from Google Cloud to the iSeries. Today we download the Google
data to our IFS then consume it using CPYFRMSTMF and CPYFRMIMPF but would
like a more direct solution. Anyone have any suggestions without using an
expensive third-part software.
