RE: print attributes in pdf document

This may sound simplistic, but... I'd first try a very simple two-line output.

Field1 with no underline
Move down a couple of lines
Field1 (or Field2) with the underline attribute

See if that works OK and expand from there.
Print the spool file and then try your conversion to PDF.
As others have noted, you can create the PDF directly but see how this test goes first.
