I don't know about the particular use case (seems like a "common template" generator, more like an IDE assist to insert prebuilt or AI context generated code routines),but I too found that RDi is pretty problematic when auto-completing and querying deep DS , sometimes it loses his way
I don't know if VScode is better in that assist sense?

In an effort to reduce duplicate code between similar programs with
different purposes, we use copy members to contain the common parts. These
include definitions, but also routines and functions.
When editing copy members, the content assistant doesn't work because it
doesn't have the context. Hence the idea of being able to edit copy members
directly in the main source code:
