Also consider whether or not the door can be opened from the inside even
when the lock has failed either electronically or mechanically.  I have seen
a situation where people were trapped in the data center until a locksmith
disassembled the lock.

Or the reverse... we where nearly locked out of the computer room because
the batteries went dead on our lock. Luckily, there was someone in there at
the time so we could get in.
