Have do you have a copy of the IBM documentation for all of this ? That is a
Godsend :-)

And congratulations on the new box. We did that last September. We moved
from a 620 at V4R5 to an 810 at V5R2 and since we just ran EOM last night
(and I was logging the run times) and have this handy:

Process Before Upgrade  After Upgrade

EOD             1hr 45 mns              42 mns
Daily BU        2 hrs, 45 mns   18 mns (this did include a new tape drive)
EOM             15 hrs          1 hr, 40 mns 

You will LOVE it :-)

I am getting a new iseries server model 810, v5r2. My current server is 270
model v5r2. I need to do data migration to the new server. Someone told me
to take backup of user data from the current model and restore it into the
new server. Can you  give some points regarding data migration  which I
should to take care. Also some tips on this.
