Whether or not you choose to use a MODS is an internal implementation detail
that .NET doesn't care about. From the client perspective, you're simply
executing a SP to return a result set.

SP's have their place, and a lot of people suggest it should be your ONLY
method of accessing the database. Personally, I'm a fan of parameterized
queries created right on the client. Stored procedures --in my opinion-- are
often just an unnecessary layer that needs to be created an maintained.
