Walden, we don't have the 6.1 CDs yet. Can you tell me what CD the
client access stuff is on so I can order just that one instead of all of
them?

The .NET provider is a more "native" .net approach. While unfortunately
not a 100% managed provider (it drops out to the underlying iseries
access .dlls) it's still not a hacky thunking layer like the ODBC and
OLEDB .net drivers. It's just simpler to use.

I would strongly recommend you use the provider from V6R1 of client
access though. It's .net 2.0 ready and basically a rewrite. I've had
some good conversations with the developer of the driver at IBM, she
knows what she's doing. Remember you can use the 6.1 driver against
older host OS versions so you don't need to be running 6.1 on your i5.
