This is only a "semi-answer" but there is nothing special or magical about
what IBM does. You can just download the Struts distribution and add the
JAR's and TLD's yourself. IBM will still recognize it as a Struts project
and provide the tooling.

If you are using Struts 1.1, you should do this anyway, since it has gone
GA, and IBM still only includes the Beta version.

I know this forum is for WDSCi but I am having a problem with WSAD and
hope the IBMers that watch this forum could help.

I install WSAD 5.0 from the Toolbox download. I add a fix and ptfs to
take it to 5.0.0.2 and my struts 'New Project' works fine, adding in the
struts.jar and the tag libs etc... all is well.

If I then update to 5.0.1 using either the download of the update OR,
allow the update via the Help option, (I have tried both fresh install
and install with 5.0.0.2 applied), when I create a new Web Project with
Struts support I get the resources bundle and NO Struts.jar and taglibs.

I used a cd that Pat Fruth gave me with the patches on it. I tried it 3
times and threw the cd away... then I did the
Help> Software Updates> New Updates and got the same error.

I deleted the WebSphere Studio directory in between uninstall and
install.

I am tearing my hair out... is this a know bug, and do you have a fix?

I also have WDSCi with 5.0.1 applied and the struts project creation
works fine. It is on a different computer.

Thanks

Kristen Henry
