RE: Saving Libl Settings (was Setting Library List inaProject) -- WDSCI-L

PTF SI08021 has been replaced by SI08593.  Just search for that instead.  I
used to have links to several WDSC websites about 2 months ago.  Now they
all don't go anywhere or I would direct you there.  Even from IBM's main
http://www7b.software.ibm.com/wsdd/zones/studio/ -> click on "Development
Studio Client for iSeries" doesn't go anywhere.  What is the deal?  The
readme that comes with WDSC talks about SI08021 for V5R1 and SI08020 for
V5R2.  SI08021 was superseded by SI08593 and SI08020 was superseded by
SI08594.  I also found for V5R2 that SI08194 was under 5722SS1 instead of
5722WDS in the XML file on the PC.  I had to manually change the XML file
C:\WDSC\iseries\eclipse\plugins\com.ibm.etools.iseries.core_5.0.0
\hostprereqs.xml to reflect this and then it showed as installed.  I had to
change the XML file in a previous version.  That is how I know how to
change it (it is just in a different location now).  Furthermore, SI08018
showed as required but not installed.  IBM said this PTF, for some type of
remote access, was not out yet.  I'm not sure about any others for V5R1 as
opposed to V5R2.  Is there a website I don't know about that gets to the
WDSC for iSeries website?  Shouldn't there be a common and unchanging
website for directing us to current changes, news, downloads, etc?  I had
to ask IBM directly about most of these changes.  It seems like IBM knows
the current changes but is trying to hide them from the public?  The
documentation on the PTF's required that came with the product were
superseded almost right away and didn't send out that documentation.

Scott, that is very nice.  Me, I'm still having problems because
evidently I don't have some required PTFs.  The thing is complaining
about SI08021, even though I can't find that PTF.  And during the
cutover to new IDs, they lost all my information.  They're supposed to
be trying to recover my profile this weekend, so I can try to get up to
date and play with a little more of this stuff.

Personally, I so all my work with RSE, so haven't had a reason to use
the iSeries Projects.  I particularly like RSE because it allows me to
use all my old PDM create commands, and since I've got some serious code
invested in those commands, it's really nice to be able to leverage
them.
