The Update Production files option is under Preferences, Debug, iSeries
Debug. The debug session terminates automatically. If you right-click in
the upper left window (titled 'Debug') you can 'Remove all terminated'.

There are several arrows on the tool-bar, one of which is the 'Step into'.

   Hi,

Did anyone use Debug Iseries job function? The problem I run into is when
you are in the debug perspective, try to debug Iseries job under Iseries:
Debug., the following check box options are missing: Step into; Terminate
debug session on program completion ; update production file.

These check box options are shown in other two types debug, Interactive
   and Batch Application.
Because my Iseries job update the file, so the debug will error out
because the Update Production File option is not checked.

Any suggestions? I went through the WDSc redbook for the debug, these
three options are shown in the manual. but now on my workstation. My WDSc
is the latest version with all the updates.

                   after upgrading

   Hello,

I've just recently installed WDSCi V5.1 on my PC.

I'm currently working through the nice WDSCi Tutorial provided by IBM when
   I
ran across this stumbling block. The current tutorial item I'm working on
is a DDS file in CODE Designer and when I try to use help like hitting the
F1 key while the cursor is placed on a display file item or even clicking
   on
the help - DDS Reference, I get a webpage with "Cannot find server -
Microsoft Internet Explorer" "The page cannot be displayed...", "Cannot
find server or DNS Error Internet Explorer"

Here is an example of what page Internet Explorer is trying to open.

   http://localhost:49213/plugins/com.ibm.etools.iseries.langref.doc_5.1.0/evfs
   r40003.htm
   <http://localhost:49213/plugins/com.ibm.etools.iseries.langref.doc_5.1.0/evf
   sr40003.htm>

If I do a search on my local c: drive for evfsr40003.htm I find it in.

   C:\Documents and Settings\JWALLROFF\Local Settings\Temp\Temporary
   Directory
   2 for doc.zip\evfsr40003.htm

Why isn't the help in CODE Designer pointing to the right place on my
   system?

Thanks in advance for your help.

   John.

I think you need to set the lan settings to bypass the proxy server for
   local addresses (such as 127.0.0.1)

There is a step that you are missing: In order to debug you need
to start a server job on your host machine using the command:
   STRRSESVR . The parameter are:
   Connection Name
   Working library
   Remote Location Name
   TCP/IP Port number: *PRV
