Thanks Chris.

Took out the U and the verifier worked. Now all I have to do is
research why I used U in the first place.

thanks again

This only seems to happen when the ds is defined as a data area data
structure "U".

I hope that someone has knowledge they would be willing to share since
I
continue to have the problem outlined below. I have searched Google,
the archives and the on-line help and cannot find any references to
why
WDSCi cannot seem to recognize my data area with the EXTNAME keyword
no
matter how I code it.

Even though I can compile the program properly on the iSeries, the
verifier cannot seem to handle my externally defined data structure
defined like this:
     D HSFS001MDA EUDS EXTNAME(HSFS001MDA:*all)

The file HSFS001MDA is in the data files library and the library is
defined to RSE. But I keep on getting the error that there are no
fields in the data structure. The verifier can find my other files
since I added the data library to the library list.

I have looked in the archives and Googled and cannot seem to find a
reference for this situation.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance,

Dave Boettcher
