A new fix called "Interim Fix 003 - 5.1.0.3" is now available for both of
the following products:

1: (WDSc) WebSphere Development Studio Client for iSeries V5.1
2: (WDSc Advanced) WebSphere Development Studio Client Advanced Edition for
iSeries V5.1

This update can be accessed by the following 2 methods:

1 - Automated Update:
  - The automated update will compare the current product installed on
your PC with the available fixes on the IBM servers.
  - Missing updates are then downloaded and installed.
  - To access this support, launch the WDSc workbench and select Help >
Software Updates > New Updates
  - To access these fixes through a proxy, select "Window > Preferences >
Internet" and enter the appropriate proxy information, including the proxy
host, port, and any authentication information that is required.
  - If no fixes are detected by the tooling, or you encounter problems
after applying a fix, issue the following steps:

a) Shutdown the product
b) Open a command window and change directory to the "Site Developer"
install
      ie. cd C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere Studio\Site
Developer\V5.1\eclipse
c) Type the following command (specify your workspace location),
eclipse.exe -initialize -data c:\workspace
d) This command forces the product to re-evaluate all the plugins and
initialize the workspace. After restarting the product with the fixed
workspace, you should be able to select "New Updates" and get all the
fixes.

2 - Manual download available Monday June 21,2004:
It is recommended that you install updates using the automated update
method, but a download version of the fix is available for users who meet
the following criteria:
  - Have slow or unstable Internet connections and would like to use a
download manager with resume capability
  - Have trouble accessing the live IBM server from behind firewalls or
"Microsoft Internet Security & Acceleration server"
  - Would rather download the fixes and install at a later time
  - Are site administrators for a group of developers who do not have
direct access to the Internet
This download will include a set of instructions to help users manually
update the product.

This update contains the following fixes and enhancements as described
below. In addition, it includes any limitations of the product and
information not included in the documentation. For more information, see
the WebSphere Development Studio Client for iSeries Web site at
ibm.com/software/awdtools/iseries.

Please note: This fix is cumulative and does not require any previous fix
(ie. 5.1.0.2). The list of fixes below represents new fixes added since the
5.1.0.2 fix. To see the comprehensive list (5.1.0.3, 5.1.0.2, & 5.1.0.1),
select the "More Info" button when using the automated method, or view the
readme in the manual download version.
