WAS Portal express comes with WAS 5.1 (non express).  So, if you are 
going to buy WAS Portal Express...

Hello,

WAS express is a light version of WAS. 
Here are the main differences : 
EJB not supported,
can't create more than one instance of server.

Of course express is cheaper than base.
If you wan't to set a webfaced application, express is sufficient.
