RE: Find String Function -- WDSCI-L

WDSC has hardly any print support for lists of things. Of course, neither does Windows Explorer. We're not supposed to use paper, right? ;-)

Actually, if I want to document this kind of thing, I suppose the best thing is to use option 25 in true PDM. But then you already have all the spooled files from the search, so you could take those and print them up or get a product like some of ours that can convert and/or download the spooled files as you like. I know, it's not the nicely formatted list. I wish that support were there, too.

Duane,

I'm not familiar with the find string function you are referring to.  I
use the search option from the menu and select iSeries.  It prompts for a
string, library, file (can be all by using *), and member (again, can be
all).

It returns the results in a separate view.  You can print the results or
browse from the results view.
