Nope, I mean is there a way to show the date a line of source code has been changed. RPG tracks the source code changes, ie: 20050701 READE FILE 20050801 IF etc Wondering if Java has the same thing. I like to see the changes I made that day etc. Ron Power Programmer Information Services City Of St. John's, NL P.O. Date myDate = new Date(); SimpleDateFormat sdf = new SimpleDateFormat("MM/dd/yyyy"); System.out.println(sdf.format(myDate)); Note: Go to the JavaDocs to see all of the literals (i.e. MM DD yyyy) you can apply to a SimpleDateFormat. Or, if you are talking about showing dates in the Java debugger, just select the variable in the "Variables" pane while in debug mode and it will show a toString() value of that date.
